MISSOURI BANK AND ATA BILLBOARDS IN THE CROSSROADS

First Friday is here and new billboards are installed showing this month's featured artists, Elijah Gowen and Emily Sall. The Artboards are a pair of double-sided billboards on Southwest Boulevard downtown. Beginning last December, the program has graced the urban landscape with evocative images from local artists like Warren Rosser, Jaimie Warren and Archie Scott Gobber.

The Missouri Bank Crossroads Branch won a gold level Art Achievement Award from Art through Atchitecture, or AtA for new art commissions. Digigraph Xpress, located at 20th and Walnut in the Crossroads Art District has supplied the billboard artworks.

FEDERAL RESERVE BANK OF KANSAS CITY MONEY MUSEUM

Celebrating a grand opening on July 1, the Money Museum offers a priceless opportunity to learn about the nation’s financial system through interactive exhibits explaining banking, the economy and the Federal Reserve.

Promoting the Money Museum, shown here is a stand-up with cut-out faces which uses a sturdy metal wedge base. As you can see, it was a crowd favorite! Greater Kansas City Tourism sponsored the event at Kauffman stadium May 19.

Digigraph Xpress printed, mounted, cut the face holes and provided the base. Another option would be to attach a large gator or corrugated easel but the metal wedge gives a sturdier base plus allowed for the face cut below.

POLE BANNERS AT KAUFFMAN STADIUM

The Toy & Miniature Museum of Kansas City is a 38-room house that boasts largest collection of nostalgic toys, fine-scale miniatures and marbles in the Midwest. The current exhibit is Laborer, Craftsman, Artist: 300 Years of Fine Tools and runs May 20-August 30. More than practical devices, specialized tools reflect the artistry and exceptional quality of work that fine craftsmen strive to create.

The Missouri Coalition for Roadway Safety is joining with state and local law enforcement and highway safety officials to launch an aggressive national “Click It or Ticket” seat belt enforcement mobilization to crack down on low seat belt use and to reduce highway fatalities and injuries. Advertising ran May 12 – June 1, while law enforcement efforts took place May 19 – June 1. CIOT
