KCICON STRUT PROJECT 2 - PRINT AND WEB UNITE
Digigraph Xpress cut and installed the vinyl for the latest Paseo Bridge temporary strut. Jennifer Benefield, KCICON Project Community Relations Manager, notes: "On October 18, following the installation of the second temporary strut featuring our Web site, we had over 5X the number of visits to our site on any given Monday -- 1,463. Random Mondays in comparison: February 2: 236. September 21: 258. Bottom line: PrintBig gets results!"

MO BANK AND AtA FIRST FRIDAY BILLBOARDS

Don’t miss the new Artboards at Missouri Bank’s Crossroads Branch, 125 Southwest Blvd. Digigraph Xpress printed the latest MO Bank billboards for October's First Friday.

Launched in fall 2008, the double-sided Artboards are part of the Art through Architecture program, which is sponsored and administered by the Charlotte Street Foundation and the American Institute of Architects-Kansas City.

Shown are May Tveit’s "ColorField" on the west-facing billboards, photographs of her signature painted hay bales, installed on a beach along the Cape Cod National Seashore. Grant Miller’s two east-facing images derive from his colorful architectural paintings inspired by information networks.

AMERICAN JAZZ MUSEUM

Digigraph Xpress prints many banners and posters for the American Jazz Museum, including those shown here. Located in the Historic 18th & Vine District, the American Jazz Museum showcases sights and sounds of a uniquely American art form through interactive exhibits and films, the Changing Gallery, the Blue Room jazz club and the Gem Theatre, a 500-seat performing art center.

Currently showing in the Permanent Gallery is the John Baker Film Collection Exhibit, the first major renovation to the American Jazz Museum's permanent exhibit. Newly constructed, the JBFC exhibit is sure to dazzle music lovers, film enthusiasts and scholars alike with its dynamic blend of rare film clips, state-of-the-art audiovisual technology and unique exhibit design.

Currently showing in the Changing Gallery is Jam Session-America's Jazz Ambassadors Embrace the World. A photo exhibit featuring over 100 images of jazz greats as they traveled the world on behalf of the US State Department.Visit this exhibit Oct. 16 through Feb. 21.


SPIN PIZZA and KC's Tour de BBQ
SpinSpider.jpgThe Tour, a fundraiser for the Lance Armstrong Foundation and the University of Kansas Cancer Center, held in conjunction with the American Royal Barbecue — raised a total of $45,000, according to organizer Erica R. Brown.

Spin Pizza, one of Digigraph's favorite customers and one of the tour sponsors, fielded a team of 60 riders, many of whom participate in frequent rides from area Spin Pizza location. For the Tour de BBQ, Spin created a special barbecue pizza and donated 10% pf the proceeds to the event.

SABRINA STAIRES STUDIO and THE LANDON GALLERY

Sabrina Staires has been working as a lifestyle portrait photographer for 13 years and specializes in contemporary portrait photography and fine art photographic prints.The studio/Landon gallery are located in the Crossroads Arts District in downtown Kansas City.

WADDELL & REED KANSAS CITY MARATHON
Many Kansas City streets between 12th and 75th streets were temporarily closed on Saturday, October 17, for the Waddell & Reed KC Marathon including Grand and Main Streets which nestle Digigraph Xpress.

Runners from 46 states and eight countries registered. More than 10,000 adults participated in the races for Kansas City Marathon, while another 1,100 children ran in a special Kids’ Marathon, said Brett Vena, events coordinator for the Kansas City Sports Commission. Quite a sight to see!
